READY, steady . . . build! – whether it is a fiery red truck, a quaint house, a calculator, a friendly dog or a pirate ship.
As long as it crosses the finish line in record time. Again and again.
The eleventh annual Global Leadership Academy (GLA) Trolley Pro for 2020 is picking up speed: the teams are assigned and learners are planning to come up with unique ideas for the best-looking and fastest trolley in the Kouga region.
Nineteen well-known businesses will line up at Fountains Mall on April 25 to go head-to-head, battling it out for top-honours as the winning team of the ultimate trolley race. Racers need to be tough and fast to get into the final round, as only the top five teams will advance to the last round.
And it will be no easy feat.
Luhil Construction will pull out all the ‘bricks’ to defend their winning title – for the third consecutive year. Also to compete for the first place are runner-ups Pick n Pay and Pet and Pool Warehouse.
The competition does not end there.
Jeffreys Bay Superspar will raise the standards to be named the Best Pit Stop for the second year in a row.
Also to return to the battle field are old favourites such as True Technologies, Fountains Mall, Woodlands Dairy, Langkloof Bricks, Slater’s Toy Magic and Ubuntu Bricks.
Newcomers to the Trolley Pro include Edge Fitness, Herotel, Just Water, MacDonalds, Mystery Box and Son Surf School.
