South Africa Lifesaving Victrix Ludorum and top St Francis Bay open water swimmer, Amica de Jager (third from left), set a new ladies’ swim record of 57 minutes, 42 seconds at the 10th Jendamark Bellbuoy Challenge – the fastest winning time in four years. Defending men’s champion Gary Albertyn (second from left) from Pretoria secured his first place at the event – the first stop on the international swimming Open Water World Tour (OWWT) – in a time of 57 minutes, 36 seconds.
