INDIVIDUALS and groups have until tomorrow (Friday, October 4) to apply or nominate representatives to serve on Kouga Municipality’s Integrated Development Plan Representative Forum for the period 2020/2021.

Kouga Executive Mayor Horatio Hendricks said the purpose of the IDP Representative Forum was to facilitate stakeholder participation in the integrated planning process of the municipality.

“The forum can include councillors, traditional leaders, ward committee members and sector department officials, as well as representatives from community and stakeholder groups or activists fighting for the rights of a particular sector,” he said.

“Partners from government, civil society, organised labour, business, non-government organisations, community-based organisations and any other interested parties are, therefore, invited to submit their particulars in writing to apply for membership of the IDP Representative Forum.”

The closing date for nominations and applications is Friday, October 4.

Further information is available from the IDP Manager, Colleen Dreyer, on 042 200 2200.

Submissions can be send to cdreyer@kouga.gov.za or delivered to the Office of the Municipal Manager at 33 Da Gama Road, Jeffreys Bay.
