THE Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency (ECPTA) is looking for young people to assist visitors to Dolphin Beach in Jeffreys Bay during the upcoming festive season.
Kouga Municipality’s Tourism Portfolio Councillor, Frances Baxter, said ECPTA had invited applications from local youth to become “tourism buddies”. “We would like to encourage local youth, especially those with an interest in tourism, to apply for this short-term position,” she said.
“The purpose of the programme is to assist visitors with tourism and safety information so as to help make their visit as pleasant and relaxing as possible.”
Interested youth must email their CV and a cover letter to heritagetm@ecpta.co.za by Friday, November 8.
Applicants must be younger than 35 years of age and have at least Grade 12. Proof must be attached with their CVs.
Other requirements include the ability to speak, read and write English. Only Kouga-residents will be considered.
