TAKING worship and preaching to new levels, churches in the Kouga area rose to the challenge presented by the limits set by Government on meetings last weekend.
Parishioners were barred from meeting if their number exceeded a hundred. But that did not deter congregations as leadership took to the air, and went viral on the web.
Worship sessions and sermons abounded on Facebook and Youtube, while Oasis FM in Jeffreys Bay did their bit to include churches in their programmes.
“It is not ideal, but the best next thing for those who are house-bound during the lockdown announced this week for the next 21 days,” says a local pastor.
“As the body of Christ we need to interact and touch base, but if we can’t physically do it due to the Covid-19 situation, nothing is keeping us back from ministering and praising God on a new forum and new level.”
Many people are ill-informed and panic at the lockdown, lack of interaction and socialisation, but services and prayer teams are merely a call or a click away. Surf the Internet for your local church broadcast and be edified and encouraged.
