MORE than 600 items of baby clothing were collected in a joint Nelson Mandela Day campaign by Kouga Municipality and the Fountains Mall in July.
Mayor Horatio Hendricks had called on the public to donate used or new baby clothes that would go towards vulnerable children.
The Mall’s customers contributed 409 items, which were dropped off at the Fountains, while municipal staff weighed in with 209 of their own donations at the Jeffreys Bay main office.
The donations were subsequently delivered to the Healthy Mom and Baby Clinic at Jeffreys Bay and Helping Hand at Patensie for further distribution.
