READY! . . . Set! . . . Go! Whether you have two legs or four – it does not matter.
Smhart Security is set to host their second annual Plaaskombuis Trail Run/ Walk at Die Stoor in Kareedouw on Saturday, November 9.
The event, presented in conjunction with JBay Striders, will consist of two distances: a challenging 30km (a loop cycle) run and a fun 6km run/ walk.
Participants are welcome to bring their four-legged friends and children in a pram to join them in the 6km run. Should participants not have a dog, but still want to help spread the love, they can ‘borrow’ a dog from the Humansdorp SPCA Assisi.
All dogs must be on a leash.
Sport-lovers can also look forward to a 6km mountain bike event. Participants can either complete one loop of 6km, or up to five loops of 6km each.
Lots of consolation prizes will be up for grabs.
Apart from action-packed fun, there will also be a bazaar with lots of food and treats to enjoy – including braaivleis, spiral chips, pudding, corndogs, pancakes and curry and rice.
The entry fee is R50 for the 6km run that is set to leave the starting blocks at 07:00, and R100 for the mountain bike event that will take to the streets at 08:00.
To enter, visit Smhart Security’s Facebook Page, and click on event. Participants can also enter on the day at 07:30.
