LOCKDOWN has brought many challenges, but also opportunities. One of these opportunities that Media24 local newspaper Express group is bringing to its communities is that of virtual events.
Virtual events can be streamed via your smart television, computer or cellphone to you in the comfort of your home during this time that we are not allowed to leave our homes for entertainment.
“This is also our way of creating a platform for entertainers who are struggling at this time while they are not able to perform live on stage,” said EP Media: Publisher and Regional Editor, Bettie Giliomee-Rossouw.
“Excellent news is that Express newspapers are now ready to bring you our first virtual event which will be an evening with The Voice SA season 3 top five finalists, Eon le Roux from Port Elizabeth and the PJ Twins from Cape Town.”
The show will be anchored by well-known local presenter Jacques Arendt.
Eon and the PJ Twins will be chatting about their lives during lockdown, and what they have been up to since The Voice SA.
Guests will also be able to ask them questions which they will answer live during the broadcast.
There will also be music videos played, as well as news on new releases of the artists that has hit the airwaves in recent weeks.
This first show will be staged on Saturday, June 6, from 19:00 to 20:00 and tickets are available from Quicket. The whole family can join in for just R40 a ticket.
When buying a ticket, you will receive a link to the event to join in during the show. It will also be recorded for those who want to watch it later. All that is needed to connect is a good data connection and about 2GB (or less) for the show.
