Flora Booysen, a remarkable resident of Humansdorp, recently celebrated her 103rd birthday on June 13.

In addition to this, she has five great-great-grandchildren, who all cherish her love and wisdom.
Her great-grandchildren fondly remember the constant stream of visitors at her home and how much she loved the company.
They also treasure the memories of visiting her, when she would discreetly slip them a note with some pocket money, a gesture that speaks volumes about her love and care for her family, no matter how near or far.
Booysen is known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to her community.
Her door has always been open to those in need, and she has been a source of comfort and support to many.
Booysen’s legacy is one of love, care, and dedication, and she remains an inspiration to all who know her.
In honour of her birthday, Kouga Executive Mayor Hattingh Bornman shared on his Facebook page that both he and Deputy Mayor Timothy Jantjes visited Booysen to wish the “active” 103-year-old a happy birthday.
Describing her as one of the oldest residents in Kouga, he wished her health and happiness for the years to come.
