As part of their annual fundraising efforts, the United Barbarians Rugby Football Club will be hosting their third Golf Day on Saturday October 14 at Hankey Golf Course, and are hopeful that it will be as successful as their previous events.
Shannon Slabbert, secretary of the football club, said that the golf day will be hosted to raise funds for the club.
Since there is no age limit, he said that they are encouraging everyone to participate in the event.
“The format of the golf day is a two-ball alliance,” said Slabbert.
Thanks to the generous sponsorships received for the golf day he said that there will be great prizes up for grabs.
Slabbert said that over the last two years the golf day events they have hosted to raise funds have been a great success.
“We are hopeful that we will have many entries for our third annual golf day,” said Slabbert.
