THE Frogging Evening, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, September 5, is now set to take place on Wednesday, September 23.

Presented by the Kromme Enviro-Trust, the evening promises an exciting adventure searching for different types of frogs, while learning about interesting facts.

According to Kromme Enviro-Trust Chairman, Warren Manser, the event is back by popular demand after a two-year break.

The event will consist of an outdoor big screen presentation about frogs, as well as what visitors can expect to find in the search for frogs in the gardens.

“After the presentation, we will head into the community gardens kitted with head torches and nets. Hopefully, we will find an array of species of frogs,” he says.

“Any environmental education is good for children, but it is vital for them to learn about frogs as they are a very important flagship species despite their sensitivity.”

The event will hop off at Bruce’s Coffee Shop (Granny’s Pool) at the bottom of Harbour Road in St Francis Bay at 18:30.

To ensure that participants are protected and in adherence to the COVID-19 regulations, the event is restricted to 50 people and social distancing will be maintained.

Booking is essential.

The entry fee is R50 per child, while parents enter free.
