KOUGA Municipality’s Ward Development Fund has given a club from Jeffreys Bay extra punch.
The Bambanani Boxing Club, based in Ocean View, received boxing equipment through the fund last week.
Kouga Speaker, Hattingh Bornman, said the donation included two punching bags, gloves, focus mitts and hand wraps.
“The Bambanani Boxing Club has been running since 2013 and is open to all age groups. The equipment will be used for competitions, as well as for self-defence training. The donation is very beneficial to the club as boxing can be an incredible way to help improve your health and fitness if you do it correctly and train consistently,” said Ward Councillor Sindiswa Makasi.
Makasi and Kouga councillor Robin Jantjies joined members of the club on Thursday to hand over the donation to them.
