PUT on your racing shoes and helmet, and gear up for the first 5.5km GLA Family Bike and Run Challenge set to hit the dirt roads on Saturday, November 30.
The family event will leave the starting blocks at the Global Leadership Academy (GLA) sports ground from where it will follow the Park Run route.
Each kilometre will be marked with a challenge: including three-leg-jump and dive-for-apples.
There will also be a Kiddies Dash for children under eight years and a Baby Dash for participants under five years at the GLA rugby field.
All participants to cross the finish line will receive a medal, while the first three riders to complete the race will receive a prize.
Various lucky draw prizes will also be up for grabs.
The entry fee is R150 per team (two to four riders or runners) and R60 per person – entrants must be eight years or older. Individuals who do not have a team, will be grouped.
The entry fee for the Kiddies Dash and Baby Dash is R60.
Funds raised will go towards the construction of an MTB track at GLA and hiring a container for the safe keeping of learner’s bicycles.
Entry forms are available at Global Leadership Academy, Victory Christian School and East Coast Cycles. Alternatively, send an email to reception@victorycs.co.za.
