IT is said that Jeffreys Bay won the Kwêla Town of the Year title thanks to the spirit of its people.
Resident Ernest Blom showed what this spirit is all about when he recently took it on himself to repaint a substation in Drommedaris Road.
“We want to thank Mr Blom for his initiative and love of the area,” Executive Mayor Horatio Hendricks said.
“ We are very grateful to him and all other residents who have taken hands with Kouga Municipality to help beautify and improve our towns this year. “
He said the Council remained committed to turning Kouga into the best-run municipality in South Africa.
“That goal is achievable if we all work together.
“As the old African proverb states: If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
