A public challenge has been issued to business owners and corporates in and around Humansdorp, to dig deep and show their support for local charity groups and non-profit organisations.
“Our local Community Development Ma-nager, Ian Dangers, saw a public plea for help issued by the SPCA Assissi recently, and decided that he would find a way to help. He made contact with the SPCA to discuss the best way forward,” explains Ryan Britz, Jeffreys Bay and Humansdorp Branch Manager at Fidelity ADT.
Dangers met with the SPCA’s Assissi Fundraising co-ordinator, Imogen Fugard, a few days later, when he handed over a large donation of dog food on behalf of Fidelity ADT.
“We truly value the support shown and would like to thank Ian and his team for reaching out. This donation gives us the ability to meet the high demands of feeding all of our sheltered animals, and we rely heavily on such generosity,” says Fugard.
Other companies and businesses in the area have now been challenged to follow the example set by Dangers and his team.
“It is important for other business entities to get involved with local NPOs in the area such as the SPCA. We need to help where we can if we are in a position to as this forms part of our corporate social responsibility towards those in need.
“At Fidelity ADT we realise the importance of finding a balance between people, planet and profit, and opportunities such as these are a perfect way to contribute,” says Britz.
