Help save a life with cupcakes

VANILLA, chocolate, caramel, coffee, bubblegum or peanut butter – not matter the flavour or colour of the frosting, these homemade cupcakes are all for a good cause.

VANILLA, chocolate, caramel, coffee, bubblegum or peanut butter – not matter the flavour or colour of the frosting, these homemade cupcakes are all for a good cause.

And can help save a life.

So, do not delay, get your sweet tooth in gear, set off to Fountains Mall from 09:00 on Saturday, September 28 and help save a life with Cupcakes of Hope’s eighth annual National Cupcake Day 4 Kids with Cancer.

All residents need to do, is to buy a cupcake or two – or a dozen – at R10 a cupcake.

Then, all that is left, is to enjoy the cupcake.

Avid bakers can also volunteer to help bake cupcakes for the day, and those less at home in the kitchen, can donate ingredients – all helping to bake a difference in the lives of children with cancer.

The only requirement is that all cupcakes must be made with love.

“Cupcakes of Hope, a non-profit company and a Public Benefits Organisation, aims to create awareness and raise funds for children with life threatening diseases,” says Founder Sandy Cipriano. “This is achieved through our love for baking cupcakes.

“The first year we raised R5 000 and helped one little boy. Last month we donated R25 000 to a 16-year-old teenager for his prosthetic leg, a a further R75 000 to fly another patient to the USA fir his trail treament.

“Today, with 65 new registered patients on our books, we have helped over 1 500 patients.”
