JEFFREYS BAY – The funeral service for beloved journalist and columnist Veronica Fourie (65) will take place on Monday, 5 January 2026 at the NG Gemeente in Jeffreys Bay at 14:00.
Fourie, who passed away on 22 December while being transported to hospital, was known for her weekly column “Veronica Vertel” in the Kouga Express.
The veteran journalist faced her ovarian cancer diagnosis with characteristic grace and her signature red lipstick, continuing to write until her final days.
She is survived by her daughter Erika Ferreira, son-in-law Dawson, grandchildren Yula and Heston Jr, and son Dr Ruhan Fourie.
