FOUNTAINS Mall, in conjunction with CANSA Jeffreys Bay, will hold a luminaria display at the mall tomorrow, Friday, March 12.
Residents, young and old, are invited to buy a luminaria bag.
“Once they have purchased a luminaria bag, they can decorate the bag,” said Fountains Mall marketing manager, Nadine Scheepers.
“Decorations can be as simple as a name written in pen to frills such as glitter and cut outs.
“The display, which is only a small part of the traditional Relay for Life event, is in memory of a cancer survivor, those who have lost the battle against cancer and patients still on their cancer journey, as well as the caregivers and cancer support services,” said Scheepers.
Luminaria bags, at a cost of R10 each, are available at the Fountains Mall centre management office (middle entrance).
All returned bags will be displayed at Fountains Mall from 16:00 to 19:00 on Friday, March 12.
All funds raised will go towards research to help find a cure for cancer, as well as to assist local cancer patients in financial need.
