The Jeffreys Bay Bridge Club invites all interested individuals to join the club. Those who would like to learn how to play the card game can join and will be trained by Letje Smit. “We would also like to see ‘old’ bridge players join. Some people might have played many years ago, perhaps as students. Others might have played regularly and stopped. We would welcome them. We also encourage small groups already playing, to join us,” says Letje.
The club currently has over forty members and meets every Monday at 13:00 at Jeffreys Rus. Letje said, “If there is enough interest from working people, we will start an evening play session. We would like to expand the club. The more the merrier. At the moment we are playing six tables but wish to have many more as it is more fun!”
The game is for everyone who wants to keep their brain active and enjoy the social aspect. No equipment is needed to join. Once a month members have a social event for those who celebrate their birthdays. Other social events include Valentines, Solstice, Battle of the sexes, and year-end celebrations.
Interested players are welcome to contact Christel Vosloo at 082 925 0176.
