Junior surfers from all parts of South Africa showcased their talents at the 25th Sea Harvest South African Junior Championships, which was held at Lower Point in Jeffreys Bay from October 5 to 9.
The event was presented by SMTH Shapes and supported by the Department of Sports, Art, and Culture.
Winners for the junior championships from the Eastern Cape included, Rory Dace u/14 boys from St Francis Bay and Joel Fowles u/16 boys, Adriel Wolmarans u/18 girls and Daniel Emslie u/18 boys from Buffalo City.
The remaining winners included, Leah Lepront for u/12 girls (UGU), Ben Esterhyse u/12 boys (CTS), Louise Lepront u/14 girls (UGU) and Maya Potgieter u/16 girls (ILM).

Additional awards winners included Nate as the winner of the Male Surfer Of The Contest, Leah as Female Surfer Of The Contest, Buffalo City who won the team title Freedom Cup and eThekweni was awarded the Loud and Proud Award.
