A Kouga father (58), recently found guilty on more than 700 charges, is expected to return to the Gqeberha High Court tomorrow, April 24, for sentencing.
The father was charged with possession, distribution, and production of child pornography, sexual grooming, exposing minors to child pornography, human trafficking, sexual exploitation of minors, and failing to report a sexual offense against a child.
It was further revealed that the man exposed his teenage daughter (19) and stepson (21) to pornography from a very young age before later forcing the half-siblings to perform sexual acts on each other while he recorded it.
In today’s court proceedings, it was revealed that the accused was in possession of five firearms.
The state prosecutor, Ismat Certfontein, argued that the Kouga father should be considered a “King of darkness,” given the gravity of the crimes committed by the 58-year-old father.
She emphasised that the father was in the highest position of trust, and he had violated this trust by sexually exploiting his daughter who was the victim of sexual assault.
