JEFFREYS Bay stakeholder organisations are invited to nominate eligible candidates to stand for the elections of the committee of the Jeffreys Bay Community Police Forum (CPF).
Candidates must be nominated by a recognised stakeholder or organisation. All nominations must be on an official letterhead.
Nominees must be willing to undergo fingerprint clearance, be in possession of a valid identity document, and be A-political (not affiliated to any political party). They must not be permanently employed.
Nominees with a criminal record will not be considered.
It is important to note that committee members will not be remunerated.
Eight individuals (four men and four women) from the four sectors in the Jeffreys Bay policing precinct will be elected.
Sector one consists of Aston bay, Paradise Beach and the farming area, while sector two is made up of Tokyo Sexwale, Ocean View, Mandela Bay and Pellsrus.
Sector three includes C-Place and the Central Business District, while sector four covers The Sands and Kabeljauws.
All nominations must be submitted to the Jeffreys Bay Police Station at 6 Woltemade Street by Wednesday, November 4. The elections will be held during a public meeting at the Newton Hall in Goedehoop Street, Jeffreys Bay at 18:00 on Monday, November 16.
