Founder and Feline Models model coach in Jeffreys Bay, Philene van Niekerk, has been selected a national finalist to represent the Eastern Cape in Miss Hotlegs South Africa 2023.
This will be her second national pageant for 2023.
Van Niekerk said that she decided to enter to raise awareness about breast cancer as part of breast cancer awareness month in October, as a family member was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and is undergoing treatment.
“I believe that national and international platforms are important to use to create action and change and raise awareness for causes and issues.”
The overall winner of this title will represent South Africa on an international platform in 2024 at either Miss Heritage in Thailand or Miss Multiverse in the Dominican Republic.
Van Niekerk said that the finals will be held in Johannesburg, Gauteng on October 29.
