THE Jeffreys Bay Alzheimer’s Support Group is set to celebrate World Alzheimer’s Day on Thursday, November 8.
A professional in the field of dementia care will talk about how to effectively communicate with a person living with dementia.
The speaker will also focus on understanding the behaviour and moods of those living with dementia, as well as making the home a safe place, activities, stimulation, and caring for the caregiver.
The event, presented in association with Alzheimer’s Eastern Cape, will take place at the NG Church Complex on the corner of Olienhout Street and Torchwood Avenue in Wavecrest, Jeffreys Bay from 08:30 to 12:30.
Entry is free.
However, a donation of R30 will be welcome.
