The second annual Lombardini Brandewyn Festival will take place at Lombardini Game Farm on June 9 and 10, which will showcase well-known artists in an effort to raise funds for the Burre Burger Drought Relief and rhino conservation.
According to event organiser, Elske van Heerden, on June 9 gates will open at 16:00 with an incredible line-up of artists which include Armand Hofmeyr, Gerhard Steyn, Arno Jordaan and Die Heuwels Fantasties.
In addition to performances by national artists, she said there will be at least 30 food stalls and vendors present throughout the two-day event.
Van Heerden said on the morning of June 10 they will host a ladies’ morning from 09:00 to 11:00 with Jo Black and from 12:00 they will have a VIP brandy tasting and food pairing event.
“We are going to have a lekker jol this weekend at the Brandewyn Festival,” said Van Heerden.
She said they will also have a talent competition for children aged between 12 and 18 with well-known artists on the judging panel.
“The winner will walk away with a record deal which will allow them to record five songs,” she said.
The live show will then start at 16:00.
The line-up will include, Gerrit “Gertjie” de Jager, Burger le Roux, Just Jinger, Bok van Blerk, Jay and Steve Hofmeyr to name a few.
“All money raised will be going to drought relief and rhino conservation,” said Van Heerden.
Weekend pass tickets for June 9 and 10 cost R450, while day passes cost R350 for adults, R100 for children between the ages of 6 and 12 and R100 for pensioners. Children under 5 enter for free.
