A woman, who has lost her way enroute from Despatch to possibly Jeppestown in Gauteng, is currently at Heidedal Police Station in Mangaung Metro, Free State Province.
She identifies herself as Cikwazi Manzini, and she is possibly suffering from a mental illness. She cannot even tell the police her exact age, says Lt. Col. Thabo Covane, Corporate Communication and Liaison: Free State.
According to Cikwazi, she hitchhiked from her parents’ home in Khayemnandi – Despatch on Monday 2 June and reached Bloemfontein midweek. Cikwazi then slept on Pelonomi Hospital premises and was brought to Heidedal Police Station yesterday, Friday 6 June. The police at Heidedal started searching for Cikwazi Manzini relatives, making calls to police stations in Qheberha without any success.
Cikwazi alleges that she lived with her mother, Landiwe and her sister, Anelisa in Khayemnandi near Despatch in Eastern Cape. Cikwazi was on her way to Jeppestown in Gauteng Province, where she left her partner, Ocean Sibanda with their two kids in 2019.
