MASTER Waste Management, in conjunction with KouKamma Municipality and thousands of volunteers, will clean up Ravinia and Joubertina in the Langkloof on Friday, September 20.
This mass clean-up is in celebration of World Cleanup Day.
According to Master Waste Management’s manager, Jessie Naidoo, over 2 000 volunteers – including children, school learners and volunteers – are expected to assist with the clean-up on the day.
“We will clean up Ravinia and Joubertina, which are littered with illegal waste dumped all over the two towns. Waste is furthermore strewn across all the streets in the area,” she says.
“Considering the vast number of volunteers we have to feed on the day, we humbly request donations in the form of samp or rice, chicken or meat, vegetables and food packaging.”
The clean-up will kick off at the Ravinia Multi-purpose Hall at 08:30 on Friday, September 20.
