THE annual Mighty Men Conference Eastern Cape is set to take place on the farm Mooi Uitsig just outside Jeffreys Bay from March 8 to 10.
The conference, the brainchild of farmer Angus Buchan in 2004 for Christian men and boys, will see gospel singer Retief Burger take to the stage on Friday, March 8.
Guest speaker Johnny Young will share his testimony on the day.
The Saturday will see Burger lead the praise and worship. Guest speakers for the day include Neville Goldman and Africa Mhlophe, while Buchan will take to the stage on Sunday, March 10.
Sunday morning is a family service and everyone is welcome to attend. Singer Joe Niemand will also attend the conference.
According to event organiser, Eugene Genis, it is hoped that over 15 000 people will attend the event.
“Some work in preparation of the conference still needs to be done: laying of water pipes, installing of gates, building of showers and septic tanks, electricity supply, and planting of poles and fencing,” he says.
“Assistance needed during the event includes parking and ticket marshals, ministers and people to help prepare food parcels.”
Monetary donations can be made to Mighty Men Conference at First National Bank, name of account Prov 4 23 NPC, account number 62701151053.
Food stalls will be available.
However, conference-goers are welcome to bring their own food and drink.
Tickets cost R50 per person and are available online at www.mightymeneasterncape.co.za.
