The iconic Milkwood trees in Jeffreys Bay will be celebrated along a special route. Those interested can gather at the Kouga Tourism Office in Da Gama Road at 08:00 on Friday, September 22.

The event coincides with National Arbor Month, Tourism Month and Heritage Day.

Everyone will be equipped with a map and identification tips will be given to the 12 carefully chosen Milkwood trees along the trail.

From the Tourism Office, those present will proceed to the Elza van Lingen Community Library in Diaz Road for a tree-planting ceremony.

This trail is an effort from the municipality and those concerned to safeguard these living treasures.
