ONLY a limited number of shops at Fountains Mall in Jeffreys Bay will be open to the public from Friday, March 27 to Friday, April 17.
“Fountains Mall will only allow businesses providing the essential services to remain open, which will in effect mean that only a small portion will be operating as all other shops will be closed,” says Fountains Mall General Manager Sonja Allsop.
Shops to be open and operate as per normal trading hours are Pick n Pay, Woolworths, DisChem, Clicks, Bayradiology and all ATMs. Game and First National Bank must still confirm whether they will be open.
According to Allsop, several preventative actions have been implemented to help keep shoppers safe: deep cleaning of bathrooms from ceiling to floor level once a week, leaning of all handrails and areas that visitors touch on a regular basis. Cleaners are instructed to wear masks and gloves at all times and 70% alcohol-based cleaning products are being used. “Security guards have been issued with hand sanitiser spray bottles to offer to all customers on entering the mall.”
