THE annual ECCU Canoe Marathon Championships for 2018 is set to paddle off at St Francis River Mouth on June 2 and 3.
The marathon course uses the same route that will be used at the SA Canoe Marathon Championships to take place in St Francis Bay from June 15 to 17.
The route, consisting of 4.1km laps and 100m to 400m sprints, will start at the St Francis River Mouth.
Registration will take place between 08:00 and 09:30, followed by the race briefing. The race will start at 10:00.
Register online at www.eccu.co.za. The entry fee is R120 for seniors, R70 for juniors and R50 for guppies. Entries close at 20:00 on Thursday, May 31. All paddlers must be paid-up, registered members of canoe clubs affiliated to CSA for the 2018/ 2019 season.
