HUMANSDORP – Police in Humansdorp are investigating a case of murder and house robbery after a smallholding outside Humansdorp was targeted today, 27 January.

According to police spokesperson Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli, at about 01:30 this morning, police were summoned to a complaint of robbery at a farm along the R102.

“At the scene, police found the lifeless body of a 60-year-old man with open wounds,” said Nkohli.

He added that the identity of the deceased is being withheld until a formal identification process is concluded.

Nkohli said police are urging anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact the investigating officer, Detective Captain Sheldon Smit, on 071 352 4623.
