THREE power interruptions will take place at Humansdorp over the next two weeks.
Kouga Infrastructure and Engineering Portfolio Councillor Freddy Campher said the interruptions were necessary for the municipality to complete the electrification of a further 200 houses at Kruisfontein.
“A new transformer is set to be installed and maintenance will be done on the 22kV network,” he said.
The electricity supply to the whole of Humansdorp will be interrupted on the next two consecutive Sundays, May 26 and June 2, from 08:00 to 16:00.
The third interruption will affect only a section of Humansdorp, from Goeda Street in Gill Marcus up to Kruisfontein Proper. It will take place on Wednesday, May 29, also from 08:00 to 16:00.
If a shutdown cannot take place on the advertised date, it will move to the following week.
