PETROL heads and adrenaline-junkies can look forward to heart-racing action at Fountains Mall on Saturday, October 19, when the fifth round of the Algoa Rally Club Championship revs into town.

Spectators can view four local teams performing with precision and accuracy, as well as 20 out of town teams.

The action–packed day will witness cars leaving the starting blocks in the parking area at Fountains Mall at 09:30 in two spectacular tar stages, alternated by a run through Boplaas. LuisterFM will entertain spectators with a live broadcast.

A quick service and tyre change at the mall will be followed by a single run through the impressive Droëkloof stage towards Zuurbron, followed by a service park and lunch at Pabala Private Nature Reserve on the R330 between Loerie and Hankey.

Competitors will take on the Pabala and Melon stages a second time before returning to Fountains Mall for the finale in the parking lot and a prize-giving function at Global Junction.

Organisers expect a flat-out fight to the finish with four Tissot watches and eight Core active rings waiting for the overall and class winners, sponsored by Gabriël Jewellers in conjunction with Tissot and Core.

The winner will furthermore take home a VW Polo Motorsport shell valued at R50 000.

Wimpy and Tiger Wheel ’n Tyre Jeffreys Bay will supply give-aways to add to the excitement.
