On Saturday, March 30, some 25 learners from Kabeljous and Smithtown arrived at the pop-up swop shop of the JBay Recycling Project at Suikerbossie on a donkey cart piled high with bags filled with recyclable material. The children exchanged 700kg of ‘trash’ for school uniforms – ready for the start of the second school term. The school uniforms were funded by the Jeffreys Bay Wind Farm.
