A new recycling service is set be launched by Kouga Municipality this year.
“The removal of the recycling penguins at Supertubes Park last year was a major disappointment to residents of Jeffreys Bay but could, unfortunately, not be avoided due to the misuse of the facility,” Kouga Executive Mayor Horatio Hendricks said in his State of the Municipality Address.
He said the appointment of a service provider was underway and that all schools in Kouga would also be receiving recycle bins.
“Bins have already been delivered to five schools, with the remainder to be distributed over the next few months.”
