THE dilapidated parking area in George Road, St Francis Bay, received a new lease on life – all with the help of two generous property owners.
The St Francis Property Owners (SFPO) recently upgraded the well-visited parking area after receiving R100 000 from the Hulley-Millers and Knotts respectively.
The parking area, which has been damaged by severe storms, is now a great example of the local community working hand-in-hand with the SFPO.
The area also boasts several closed-circuit television cameras, providing added security for all users of this facility.
The project has furthermore resulted in the slurrying of George and Liege Roads – to the benefit of all property owners along these two roads.
In addition, the Kouga Municipality is resurfacing large areas of roads in St Francis Bay as part of their road improvement roll-out for 2020.
This project will add to the maintenance and upkeep of the village.
