RESIDENTS are invited to attend the official launch of two books compiled by Write-On Publishing owner Frank Nunan: Impressions of Jeffreys Bay and Impressions of St Francis.
The two books – consisting mostly of photos taken by residents and visitors – will take readers on a photographic journey through St Francis Bay, Cape St Francis and Jeffreys Bay.
According to Nunan, the books were inspired by a similar book created by author and former ambassador Mzuvukile Maqetuka, who is now a Jeffreys Bay resident, about his home-town of Graaff Reinet.
Kouga’s own inimitable historian, raconteur and author, Bartle Logie, will be the keynote speaker.
Kouga Executive Mayor Horatio Hendricks, will also attend the event.
Hendricks expressed his enthusiastic support for the project, and congratulated Write-On Publishing for its initiative in promoting the delights and beauty of the Kouga region.
The official proceedings will be followed by a cheese and wine reception.
The launch will take place at the Seashells Holiday Apartments and Conference Centre in Da Gama Road, Jeffreys Bay at 16:30 on June 6.
