Two roadblocks, with a difference, were held at Jeffreys Bay and Humansdorp to welcome holiday-makers to Kouga and wish locals a joyful festive season.
“It was wonderful interacting with so many different people, literally from all over the world,” Kouga Mayor Horatio Hendricks said.
“The motorists we welcomed, included visitors from other South African towns and overseas, as well as many of our locals.”
The Mayor was joined by his Mayoral Committee as he handed out welcoming packages to motorists.
The packages included information on the holiday programme, saving water and safety tips, as well as a sweet surprise for the younger set.
Kouga’s water champion, Splash, also drew attention as he made his way through the streets.
