AS the recently launched St Francis Links Hotel by Mantis show units were launched and open for viewings over the December holiday season, the development now is calling for more investors in order to start building the next phase.

Building will only start once 50% of all units are sold.

The internationally acclaimed Mantis Group stands behind the development, and envisages a 60-suite hotel which will accommodate guests in a choice of en suite one or two bedroom units, complete with fully equipped kitchenettes.

The hotel will be operated and managed by the Mantis Group. The current units will be available as hotel accommodation and supported by the Links Clubhouse for meals, spa treatments and golfing activities, as well as reception, conferencing and entertainment.

The units overlook the 18th hole dam, with magnificent views of St Francis Bay, the Indian Ocean, Kromme River and the Cockscomb, the highest peak in the Eastern Cape visible on clear days. The St Francis Links are currently ra-ted 5th best in South Africa.

The hotel is offered to investors on a sectional title basis with added amenities such as furniture, staffing, and IT in order to achieve full hotel operation. The investor benefits are both financial and lifestyle, since they share in the profits of the hotel operation and the usage and other benefits on offer.

The remainder of the hotel will be built and placed strategically to prevent interference with any of the existing views and with specific consideration to the fynbos surroundings which are a distinct part of the estate’s heritage. After completion of all the units, the luxury hotel will be fitted and equipped to the exacting standards of the Mantis Group, and will include a resort style swimming pool.

Investor benefits include 30 room nights per year, although limited during high season, hotel switch and swop-out usage per year within the Mantis profile, 50% discount for nights over and above the 30 room nights allowance, gift allowance for unused room nights per year, optional discounted golf membership and green fees during a stay, including associated recreatio-nal centre access and clubhouse discounts, discount on spa treatments as well as 20% discount on published rates for all Mantis managed hotels in Sub-Saharan Africa. Investor returns are capital growth on the co-ownership of a luxury Mantis hotel and annual dividend earnings from rental pool hotel operations.

In addition, tax payers who qualify should look into investing a minimum of R1 000 000 to get a tax advantage on the Section 12 J of the SA Tax Law.
