AFTER months of planning and hard work, the brand new SuperSpar Village on Main and Tops Village on Main in Humansdorp, officially opened its doors to the public on Friday.
Construction on the new store – boasting style, uniqueness, freshness and creative flair – commenced a year ago, several months after a fire destroyed a section of the previous Spar building in October 2017.
SuperSpar Village Square and SuperSpar Village on Main owner, Richard Moolman, purchased the business from former owner, JP Venter, who owns Jeffreys Bay SuperSpar and Hankey Spar.
“We never thought that we would build a second store from scratch,” says Moolman who dreamt for a long time to open a second store. “We can now finally say that SuperSpar Village Square has an upmarket sister store.”
With a combined floor space of 1 483 square metres and ample parking space, customers will find plenty of room to move and an abundance of high-quality sourced products on the shelves.
In addition to the large product offering, which comprises locally sourced and internationally sourced Spar Own Brand products, the supermarket has a substantial fresh produce section, a coffee corner, bakery, butchery and a home meal replacement department.
Environmentally conscious customers will also be pleased with the reusable shopping bags which are available in the store, as well as environmentally friendly straws and cleaning products.
Every department, furthermore, has its own fridge and freezer and the store features a state-of-the-art 3m high cold room.
According to Moolman, customers can be assured of the best shopping experience in Humansdorp, great quality and excellent service at a good price.
“It was our dream to create a beautiful shop where everyone can do their shopping – whether you have R10 or R1 000, we have something for every kind of shopper
“And we succeeded.
“Superspar Village on Main and Tops Village on Main is something very special for Humansdorp.
“A huge thank you goes out to each and everyone who helped to make this wonderful dream become a reality.”
