SUPERSPAR Village Sqaure is the best store in the province.
The well-known and much loved SuperSpar Village Square in St Francis Bay was named the SuperSpar of the Year in the Eastern Cape for 2019 – a first for the store.
The coveted award was handed-over at the SPAR Eastern Cape Members Meeting in Port Elizabeth ear-lier this month.
“We did not expect to win,” says owners Richard and Joha Moolman. “There are some amazing Spar stores in the Eastern Cape and for us, as a small store, to win was very unexpected.”
They contribute their success to their staff. “Some of our staff members have been with us since opening the store, over 11 years ago.
“We are also part of a small community in St Francis and our customers and their feedback mean a lot to us.”
They say that they are a small store and believe in creating a family atmospher where staff members become family.
“As the Village Square family we have a philosophy and culture of exceptional service delivery to our customers. Putting on your Spar uniform in the morning means that you are not going to work, but to be with family members for the day.
“Our staff all mean a lot to us. We believe in not only trading in the community, but becoming a part of the community.”
