Thrills, speed, showstoppers, at the Great Trolley Pro 2025

The Great Trolley Pro returned with a spectacular display of adrenaline, creativity, and excitement as 20 souped-up trolleys battled for victory on the Global Leadership Academy “racetrack” at Fountains Mall.

The Great Trolley Pro once again delivered a day of adrenaline, creativity, and pure fun as 20 turbo-charged trolleys raced for glory on the Global Leadership Academy “racetrack” at Fountains Mall.

What started as ordinary shopping carts was transformed into dazzling racing machines, thanks to the dedication, teamwork, and unstoppable spirit of our learners and sponsors. The energy was electric, the competition fierce, and the designs were absolutely jaw-dropping. Adding to the festive vibe were delicious jaffles and barista-brewed cappuccinos, keeping the crowd fuelled and smiling throughout the day.

Spectators were treated to a spectacle of engineering ingenuity and wild imagination as each team proudly showcased their custom-built trolleys.

After hours of hard-fought heats and nail-biting finishes, the 2025 champions are as follows:

Junior race (Grade 8-9) winners:

• First place: Ultimate Paints (Gr 9N)

• Second place: Vismandjie (Gr 8N)

• Third place: Moments of Grace (Gr 8E)

• Fourth place: Prophunt Properties (Gr 8F)

• Fifth place: Jeffreys Bay SuperSpar (Gr 9F)

Senior race (Grade 10-12) winners:

• First place: Moore Accountants (Gr 12E)

• Second place: Abiezer Construction (Gr 11E)

• Third place: Ozzie’s Home Depot (Gr 11N)

• Fourth place: Pick n Pay (Gr 12N)

• Fifth place: Woodlands Dairy (Gr 11A)

• First place: Cape Cross (Gr 8A)

• Second place: Jeffreys Bay SuperSpar (Gr 9F)

The public had the opportunity to vote for their favourite trolley, and Nosipo Molisi, was the lucky one to win a R1 000 gift voucher sponsored by Fountains Mall.

According to GLA, the event would not have been possible without the unwavering dedication of volunteers, supportive families, hardworking staff, and every cheer from the grandstands.
