Jeffreys Bay Tourism, in conjunction with Riksha Tours, is putting their best wheels forward in the local tourism sector with the unique tuk-tuk tours – offering those with a taste for adventure an unusual way to see the picturesque landscapes of Jeffreys Bay.

Nicky Kruger, Jeffreys Bay Tourism Operational Manager, says the tuk-tuks are part of an initiative aimed at getting visitors to experience all parts of the town. This includes popular surf spots, estuaries and historical sites, as well as rural areas, so as to “enhance the total experience” for a visitor and ensure the entire town benefits from tourism.

One is able to see scenic views of a range of Jeffreys Bay’s major attractions, while learning about the town’s history, its people and their heritage, cultural diversity and many more. It is going to be an experience that will forever be engraved in the minds of many of our tourists.

“Tourists who come to our town, should automatically be our ambassadors when they go back home.

“We will only do that if we ensure that we continually meet their needs.”

Various tours – ranging from one hour to five hours – are on offer: Out and About, Adrenaline Rush, Loved Family Tour, JBay Mystery Tour and Open Cart.
