THE ultimate Global Leadership Academy (GLA) Trolley Race is on – but with a lockdown difference.
Instead of learners coming up with unique ideas for the best-looking and fastest trolley in the Kouga region, residents have the opportunity to design an image or video – and win.
All while having heaps of fun!
GLA Principal, Stefan Kleyn, says, “With the indefinite postponement of the 2020 GLA Trolley Race due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we did not want to miss the opportunity to still do something creative and entertaining for Jeffreys Bay residents. We all can do with a bit of positivity.
“We are putting the challenge out there to learners, parents and the broader Jeffreys Bay public to rally behind your favourite trolley sponsor.”
Trolley sponsors are Moore Stephens, First National Bank, Fountains Mall, CTU Training Solutions, Value Added Life, Slater’s Toy Magic, MacDonalds, Herotel, Pet and Pool, Langkloof Bricks, Son Surf School, Edge Fitness, True Technologies, Luhil Construcion, Pick n Pay, Ubuntu Bricks, Woodlands Dairy, Just Water and Kouga Express.
To enter
To enter, is as easy as ready . . . steady . . . go!
Design the most creative image, song or video – endorsing one of GLA’s 19 sponsors and upload it to Instagram or Facebook with the #glajbay before Saturday, April 25.
The winner, to be announced in the Kouga Express, will ‘roll’ away with a R500 gift voucher from Fountains Mall.
The winner will be selected by a panel of independent judges.
But the winning does not stop there.
Businesses and residents can also vote for their favourite design on the Kouga Express Facebook Page.
To vote, go to the Kouga Express Facebook Page and find the GLA Trolley Race album (under photos). Simply click the “like” button on your favourite entrant – comments will not be considered.
The entrant with the most “likes” will be named the public’s favourite and walk away with a prize sponsored by Kouga Express.
Voting opens at 10:00 on Monday, April 27 and ends at 13:00 on Tuesday, April 28.
