SAPS Jeffreys Bay detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in tracing the next of kin of an unidentified man whose body was found in the bush in Pellsrus on Tuesday afternoon, May 24.
According to police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, it is alleged that on Tuesday, at about 16:00, police were alerted to a decomposing body lying in bushes behind the new RDP houses in Pellsrus.
“The deceased sustained several open wounds on his head and torso and a large laceration was evident on his chest. It is suspected that some of his organs may be missing,” said Naidu.
She said police also suspect that the body was dumped in the bushes and a murder docket is under investigation.
“The deceased is a black male approximately 30-40 years old,” said Naidu.
She said he was clad in a blue denim jean and a red shirt.
