DESPITE the lockdown and global pandemic, Reach For A Dream is still engaging with children, families and medical teams across South Africa. The foundation has had to adapt to this ‘new normal’ and in doing so has a list of dream children in waiting.

For the past 32 years the foundation has been fulfilling the dreams of children across South Africa between the ages of 3 and 18 faced with a life-threatening illness.

More so, the much celebrated annual Slipper Day, which is Reach For A Dream’s largest fund-raising campaign, could not happen owing to lockdown, resulting in experiencing a terrible setback in terms of funding which is affecting the good work they are doing.

“Now more than ever, we need to support our children and by giving these vulnerable children hope, we can help to make their dreams a reality.

This is an opportunity for us to show the true spirit of South Africa, of Ubuntu, of togetherness.” says Jacques Cronje, Wimpy’s Marketing Executive.

Let’s Get Behind Virtual Slipper Week

The foundation has called on all South Africans to show their support by making a donation to this inspiring cause and sharing a Slipper Selfie on social media.

Let’s stand together and help raise funds for this worthy cause and ensure that dreams can’t be locked down.

How to help make a difference:

. Make a donation of R30 or more here www.wimpy.co.za/reach-for-a-dream/

. Redeem and enjoy a free cup of Wimpy filter coffee

. Sharing your Slipper Selfie and tagging @ReachForADream and @WimpySA and using #BetterTogetherMoments #VirtualSlipperWeek

Together we can make dreams come true.
