Market organiser, Anri Wolmarans, says, “A collective decision was made to not open the market as of yet and rather wait another month or two, as the majority of the stallholders fall within the high-risk bracket.
“However, stallholders can still be contacted via the Milkwood Market website and Facebook Page where their products are showcased – all while keeping them safe,” Wolmarans added.
Visitors to the online market, that boasts quality products from almost 80 stallholders, can browse through biltong, handmade clothing, jewellery, décor and leather products.
There are also mouth-watering biscuits, jam, corn dogs, chocolate and hand-crafted products.
Add to the list honey, sauces, plants, chutney, fairies, dreamcatchers and needle work.
Wolmarans says, “We will reconsider the decision at the end of the month, and decide whether we should open the market to the public in August.”
