As part of their social responsibility projects, Woodlands Dairy installed shelving in Masikhathalelaneni’s (meaning Let’s care for each other) freezer – a converted shipping container where food is stored for emergencies. The shelving was completed last week and was handed over at a ceremony held at their premises in Jeffreys Bay. According to Carmelia Miles (second right) from Woodlands Dairy, the shelves will assist in better stock rotation and for the first-in-first-outprinciple to be applied in order to prevent decay of food sponsored by companies in the Kouga region. They also donated milk and assisted in the distribution of food parcels to community members in need of assistance. Volunteers (from left) Marureen Michaels, Michelle van Rooyen, Zameka George and project founder Freddie van Rooyen, receive the donation from Miles. Photo:SUPPLIED
