Grade 6 Woodridge Preparatory learners recently embarked on the school’s annual three-day character building survival camp at Yellowwoods Farm – equipped only with advice from 2018 Survivor SA winner, Tom Swartz, a bivvie sheet, multi-tool, a handmade hobo-stove, sleeping bag, ski-rope, torch, insect repellent, extra clothing, water and just enough snacks to fill the palm of one hand. Paired up with a partner, they had to make their own shelter and compete in activities to earn extra food.
